| Ride the whole coast of Ireland in ten days!. |
|
 |
 |
| Our west of Ireland
tours take in some of the smallest, most remote, most scenic
but most importantly, safe roads in the country. |
|
 |
 |
| We use proper aluminium touring
bikes with front end and rear bags for your stuff for the
day, camera,
wallet, SUN LOTION! Plus all our tours have their own support
vehicles. |

I have entitled
this picture, taken of me on my way to one of our picnics, ‘my
mother would not be impressed’. I’m not just
laden down with wine here though. I have food placed
all round the bike as well. |

Now what about
this for a lunch spot?! And we were the only people on
this magnificent beach for the whole two hours it took
us to get through lunch. In the picture are Mike, from
New York, me, Peter, from England and David, my nephew.
And yes that’s bare flesh you can spot too. We
did get in for a swim. Ask Peter what it was like to
swim in the Atlantic ocean. |

 |
One of my favourite shots.
Picture shows Nancy, Rynn and Melina, enjoying a chat
and a quite not-too-shabby view of the Atlantic. Just
click on any of their names there and ask them what it
was like that day. |

 |
Right, this may look
like a digitally manipulated picture, but it is not.
It shows a common scene on our Clare/Galway tour – a
calm day, not a sinner about, (except maybe us) and one
beautiful lake. Mike will tell you what it was like… |

On our treks throughout
the west of Ireland we often meet ladies like Mary here.
Told us she had owned that bike there for over 60 years.
These particular bikes are commonly known in Ireland
as, ‘High Nellys’. They’re made of
steel, have no gears and will last forever. You’ll
notice there’s no lock on the bike either. No one
ever made a fortune selling bike locks in Ireland. Can’t
give to Mary’s email address as she doesn’t
have one. I can let you email Rynn though… |

More sheep. Notice the
road Jeannette is on. With the grass growing up the middle
of it. We call these ‘dual cabbageways’.
Celtic Trails has found quite a few of these beauties
up and down the west of Ireland. Look forward to them.
Now you might be thinking to yourselves that there is
an alarming amount of sheep in my photos. Well there’s
nothing I can do about it. They’re all over the
place! |

Here we have 3 generations
of the Moorman family, from New Orleans. Jim, Jimmy,
James & Andy. The youngest member, (James), is all
of nine years old, and he rode every mile of our Donegal
tour this past July. The eldest, Dr.
Jim is… a
bit older, and has done our Clare/Galway, Mayo/Sligo
and Donegal tours!
Wish them well for they are trying
to get their lives back in order after a certain situation
recently in New Orleans.

Yep, that’s a herd
of cows on the beach. Gordon was most definitely taken
aback when he rounded that bend and saw these characters
lounging around on the beach. Notice the blue skies… |
 |
 |
One absolute character
and a real lady. Mike and Christine, from England. They
are a great example of two people who are very busy,
but always, always find time for biking. If you
are CONSIDERING coming to Ireland this coming June,
book this tour, (10th - 17th) because this pair are coming
back. And I'm looking forward to it. |
