'Beach Bar', run by Maggie. A nice shot of the gang enjoying the scene. (That's Ruairi on the right with the big grin on his face. Makes a mean sandwich). To the right of this picture is one of the nicest views in all of Ireland. On a clear day one can see all the way up the coast, right up along counties Mayo, Sligo & Donegal. Quite spectacular. Ask Bill just how spectacular, he should know, he's been with us twice.

This picture was taken of Bryan & Aundrea last year in Glenveigh National Park, county Donegal. A truly special place. We have lunch at that very spot. Glenveigh used to be owned by the man who invented Tabasco, and his castle is about 2 miles down to the left of Bryan & Aundrea here. It has one of the most spectacular formal gardens in the country so we always pay a visit.
This lunch spot can be quite hairy, if we don't get our timing just right. The tide has a habit of deciding to come in at inopportune times, meaning Celtic Trails and its guests have to scarper…. Lovely spot for lunch though, and on a nice day the views of the Bay are just delightful.
Here we have the boy & girls taking a minute to just take in the scene. None of them expected to be riding on such beautiful roads. Just a pity about the weather…. I took this shot in May of '99, on the road from Tully Cross to Leenane. One of our favourite roads and one that always leaves a mark on our guests' minds. Clare/Galway Tour
Now this road is something else altogether! It is truly spectacular. Starts in a wee abandoned fishing village called, 'Leitear' and winds its way out the coast for about 8 miles 'till it ends up in a field and we are greeted by the most amazing views of the Atlantic. We usually have a wee picnic down here and take a bit of time to take it all in. No cars allowed. Sheep, cows & bikes more than welcome. Just ask Megan what this spin is like…
What a view! Captured on the road to Dungloe, county Donegal in May '99. This road through the valley is one that always amazing our guests. You'll see more cows and sheep than people or cars, and it is just a lovely road to cycle. The Jeep is always at the top to make sure everything's okay before we head down into Dungloe.
This picture was taken on the second last day of our Mayo/Sligo tour, June '99. A lovely wee spot by the lake for lunch, I think you'll agree! (That's Mr. Fitzpatrick, telling us a few yarns….).
The only way to describe this scene is to say that it is probably one of the most remote parts of Ireland, you'll find an extreme lack of cars on the road, miles and miles of beautiful quiet wee paths, and we end up in Gweesalia tonight. Population - 47. Mayo/Sligo Tour
Donkey!
'Kelly and Helen.  Two trouble makers on the boat to the islands.  We ain't messin' around here at Celtic Trails. When we say we are going to take you out on a thrilling boat ride to the romote islands off the west coast of Ireland, we mean it.  This day was no different, as the spray coming from the back of the boat and the grin on both their faces will confirm'.
