There are a few words
to describe Slieve League. Words like, 'spectacular',
'amazing', 'stunning' and 'special' come to mind. The
highest sea cliffs in all of Europe, (if you thought
the cliffs of Moher were high wait 'till you see Slieve
League!). Situated very far west in Donegal and seriously
the highlight of our third day on our Donegal tour. This
picture was taken quite close to the edge and very near
the top. It shows 5 of our Minnesotan guests having a
spot of lunch and taking it all in. And it was taken
in early May. Rain is, as you can see, definitely not
on the cards today, (contrary to what a lot of people
think, it doesn't rain all that much in the west of Ireland).
One of my favourite scenes. |

I took this picture
of a scene on the second last day of our Mayo/Sligo
tour. The sky was just begging to be photographed, (and
so was Denise,
with her, 'wee glass of Guinness'). You can't really
see her in the shot, but she's there, basking in the
sunshine. |

This is what you will
be greeted by on your arrival into the village of Kinvara
on our Clare/Galway tour - all the bikes lined up and
rarin' to go. We have this transfer because we simply
do not want our guests cycling through the busy city
of Galway, so we, (or I should say, my staff) head of
at 6am, set all the bikes up, and we rendezvous in Kinvara
at around 10. From here we head out along Galway Bay
and down the coast to Doolin. |

'Beach Bar', run by
Maggie, June, 1998. A nice shot of the gang enjoying
the scene. Maggie makes the best vegetable soup in the
west and we always stop here on our way to Markree castle.
As you can see from the photo the weather doesn't always
dictate that we have to eat inside
And just out
of the scene, to the right of Tom is
the most amazing view up the coast of counties Mayo,
Sligo & Donegal. |

A group of South African's
enjoying our amazing lunch spot, Mulranny, first day
of our Mayo/Sligo tour. This spot takes people's breath
away and we usually have quite a hard time shifting from
it
Looks like they're all having a good time.
I think Shannon just
told a joke. |

The O'Marra clan,
stopping to get their bearings on the road to Pontoon,
Mayo/Sligo tour, 99. The wee road is what we call a,
'dual-cabbageway', when there's grass growing up the
middle of it! It looks like some of the gang are up to
no good
. |

I had to jump out
here and take this picture. Taken in April of this year,
the view shows the road to Donegal Bay. And the scenery
later this day gets even better. |

I
asked a Lord of a castle to take this picture, believe
it or not. And he not only obliged us by taking several
pictures but he enthralled us with stories for about
a half an hour. (That handsome chap in the blue jersey's me by
the way). |

Now
aren't they just cute as a butt'n. Tom & Donna,
two people who have been with us three times now, enjoying
a wee hug just before we head out of Westport, (Ireland's
only architect designed town). Taken in July 98. |

'A typical scene. We're
meandering our way around the countryside, on tiny little
roads, when all of a sudden we are confronted by a herd
of vicious sheep. Kathryn got a kick out of it
and she is seen here getting her camera ready. Ask
her about this day, the day we saw more sheep than people'. |
