Day one

it started off with a rainbow

Throughout the 13 days we saw some incredible sights,

we had ONE DAY of mist, (but we were still smiling)

and it was only a light mist.

We rode some incredible coastal roads,

took a few boat rides,

rode some incredible, twisty, quiet back roads,

stayed at some incredible places,

wrestled a few angry bulls,

chased a few sheep,

drank some lovely Guinness,

got a little support,

saw some funny things,

saw some wierd things....

and some even wierder things.....

did some award winning bike repairs,

(that's a 3000 dollar Bianchi hanger, with the threads stripped, held together by three twenty cent tie wraps, thank you very much. Those gears stayed working perfectly for the remainder of the trip, and won me over 1000 euros in bets).

We cycle through some strange places, (doesn't look real, but it is),

some famous places,

and took some more boat rides.

But most of all, we had fun doing it

For those of you who are serious about doing this ride next year, a few points -
you need to be realistic vis a vis your cycling capabilities and know that you can do it, (this ride is not for the 30/40 mile per day people)
you'll need to book it soon as we are capping the group at around 28, (there's about 70 in the 'serious about it' catagory as of a few weeks ago.  And that's going to grow when all the 22 people from the tour just ended go home and tell all their friends and biking buddies just how profound this tour really is) everyone pictured above is emailable, (even the three coming through the tunnel) next year's tour is going to be around the same time, (first couple of weeks in September)
we are deciding on 10 or 12 centuries as we speak
we had ONE DAY of mist and ONE DAY of rain on this year's Centuries Ride.
It doesn't always rain in Ireland....

Thank you for all your emails and interest.  And I look forward to all your questions.

Sincerely,
